A larger-than-life-sized belt made out of sand-casted zinc-titanium objects represents the contents of an Anonymous bag. A seemingly incomprehensible combination of everyday stuff yet capable of putting together a recognizable contour of a potential owner and their habits — a silent narrative.
The belt is derived from the medieval chatelaine — a forgotten relic of history, substituted by modern-day bags and backpacks.
I was also interested in the way this displacement of the baggage we carry on ourselves would change the way we move and stand. This way the object becomes a physical manifestation of the overconsumption of our times – literally dragging the wearer to the ground.
